How does the revelation that Grace is Wolfe's daughter and Noah's granddaughter impact her identity?

How would you cope with this revelation?

I feel like Grace, after finding out the truth, has no real idea of who she is anymore, but I think she is excited to find out. I do not think she likes the fact that Noah is her grandfather, given what she has heard about him.

For me, it explained a lot given their personalities and the fact that they seemed like the worst twins in the world :)

I think that Grace finding out she was Wolfe's daughter and Noah's granddaugther was a good twist to the story. I agree with Renee that Grace doesn't really know who she is anymore and that she is excited about the fact that Wolfe is her father, but not really glad to be Noah's granddaughter.

This sort of revelation would probably not sit very well with me. I would have a hard time dealing with this because of how close my immediate family is.

I think this is a great relief for Grace. She now knows why she has these terrible nightmares, and why she is so different from her brother. Her love for her brother does not change and her interest in Wolfe is also validated. At some point she was going to have to cross off those nightmares from her list and knowing the truth was the only way.

Responding to the comment earlier, I think in some ways this is a relief for Grace because she now has a family, whereas her brother's parents are missing and presumed dead.

Yes--I agree with all three comments. Although it's very difficult and a jarring revelation, Grace is pretty strong and able to overcome lots of adversity. She is still close to her brother but I agree that they were somewhat unbonded twins, at least based on the twins I've known.

I also agree with the overall problem mentioned in class--what happened to their parents? Maybe a sequel will resolve that conundrum....?
